Engagement

At SHERU, we believe in informed, collaborative, and inclusive engagement to drive meaningful policy change.

Our approach is guided by:

Insight-Driven Influence

We track policy developments across areas including economy, health, housing, employment, poverty, and education, examining their impact on health inequalities. By integrating quantitative and qualitative evidence, including peer research, we help bring both data and lived experiences into policy discussions to support meaningful change.

Collaborative Policy Impact

Policy change is most effective when multiple organisations work together to highlight key issues. We strengthen our impact by aligning with like-minded organisations, combining insights, and pushing for shared policy goals.

Cross-Sector Learning

By engaging with experts from research, policy, and community sectors, we enhance our understanding and strengthen our contributions. Our engagement spans media interactions, knowledge exchange through webinars and talks, and extensive dialogue with policymakers and stakeholders in the health inequalities space.

Bridging Policy & Practice

We bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and communities to tackle health inequalities in Scotland, creating spaces for collaboration that support turning evidence into action.
